Captain of my Soul

Lately I am fascinated with the whole sailor kind of look, it gives me that ready-to-travel feel, well I am in fact always on-the-go wherever my friends would want me to be just as long as there will not be any financial constraints and my casual laziness every now and then.

Growing up I remember I used to watch the series One Tree Hill and there was an episode there where they quoted William Ernest Henley's Invictus. I instantly fell in love with the last two lines that goes "I am the Master of my Fate, I am the Captain of my Soul and with that it became one of my life's mantras.

Blue Cardigan (H.E. by Mango), Striped White Shirt (Giordano), White Full Length Pants (Uniqlo), Brown Laced Blue Shoes (Topman) and Bracelets (Aldo).

Sulit.com.ph: Ibenta Mo Na

I was invited last week at Bizu, Greenbelt 2 for the Media/Blogger Event of Sulit.com.ph and as an aspiring entrepreneur I automatically said yes.

Let me give you a few background about Sulit. It was almost seven years ago when Mr. David founded the company with a capital of 2,400php together with his girlfriend (now wife) Ms. Arianne. They built a free platform where Filipinos can post up a wide array of classified ads, from clothing and accessories, to tools and gadgets, furniture and appliances, to different services and more.

From its humble beginnings, Sulit.com.ph has evolved into a corporation called Netrepreneur Connections Enterprises, Inc. which now has nearing a hundred employees reporting to a plush two-floor office space in Ortigas.

Now, it has been noted that they are the top buy and sell website company in the Philippines with 2 million registered users and over millions of pageviews each day. Therefore, if you decided to sell something there, there will be a big chance that somebody will find it soon and purchase it immediately.

One of the habits of Filipinos is being sentimental and thus, making it a big predicament whenever we sort our things. Most of us linger onto different materials and ending it up sitting on our shelves and garages leaving so much space in our houses and disregarding the fact that it can still be of use. Sulit.com.ph encourages us to sell those that we don't need and is still usable, after all, One man's trash is another man's treasure.

Although my practice has been to put my stuff that are still beneficial to others into charity but nowadays, the idea of Sulit is more practical as it promotes the value of entrepreneurship therefore making you earn more money and the concept of convenient online shopping which has been a trend since 2010.

Attention!

As you all have known, I am very much fond of charities. Through the partnership with World Vision, Everyone is encouraged to donate their preloved items to sulit.com.ph to have them sold in the website. The total amount of sales will be matched and then donated for World Vision's Humanitarian Efforts.

Here I give you one of their TVC's.
To keep updated with them visit:

Start sorting your things and start selling!

My thanks to Fuentes Manila for inviting me!

The Rexona Confidence Project

Let's face it, having a good face is not enough to stand out from the crowd, if there is something that a girl has that makes men and other ladies get captivated upon that would be her great amount of confidence that enlightens, allures and inspires many.

Luckily the winners of the Rexona Confidence Project are both very beautiful and confident which are Iya Acuna, 21, and Anya Ong, 22. Both were cheerleaders from De La Salle University where they met and now that they have graduated still their genuine friendship continues.

These two girls will be bringing home 500,000php as they will have a 30-day challenges that will further employ what true confidence is, and to spice things up Jasmine Curtis - Smith, Maxene Magalona and Saab Magalona will be joining them in special challenges.

Techie Trip with DELL

Now who doesn't know Dell right? Their mainstream products are being used both in offices and households.

With Lifestyle bloggers - Vince and Alwyn and writer - Jacob.

Nuvo still serves the one of the best appetizers in town.

With Colins Mabborang. We went to the same University and we are both former officers of our University Student Council. T'was really great meeting him here.

Christopher "Chris" Papa, Country Manager.

Christopher Syling, Business Development Manager.

Johny Dermawan, Senior Brand Manager

This is the best part of the event, he was totally dissecting the laptop to show us the vital parts and how they are well protected to make the whole gadget more durable.

Now let me show you samples of their products.

Of course I won't be just giving you pictures from the event. I will be telling you more about them as well, although I am not well inclined with techie stuff I will do my best to give you information about it.

Dell's objective here as I have witnessed their presentation is all about business manageability and data security in updated computing line.

The following are the key features of the new line products:

Long-lasting durability- StrikeZone shock absorber, Fast Response Free-Fall Sensor, and with newly added rubber hard drive isolation helps protect data from drops and vibration. As I have told you awhile ago, Mr. Dermawan has shown us the integral parts of one laptop and demonstrated how every part gets to be protected. Letting a gadget slip, bumped or fall is obviously an inevitable dilemma and so Dell has produced us their line giving features that will prevent damage caused by those.

Productivity- Long battery-life with up to 32.7 hours with an optional 9-cell battery + slice + bay, 2GB* of memory, integrated graphics, Third generation Intel Core processor technology and optional 128GB* SSD* and ExpressCharge for 80 percent recharge in an hour. Usually a gadget that is well used will just last 24 hours and it takes 2 hours to charge it fully which is a hassle for those people who needs them on the go.

Industry's most manageable business PCs- The latest Intel vPro systems management Intel Active Management Technology 8.x with Dell's unique vPro extensions that support remote BIOS management and remote hard drive wipe enabling IT to remotely manage Latitude E-family laptops and Optiplex desktops, including easy out-of-band management. Now for simpler words, the IT from your office will no longer need to go to computer to computer just to configure some specifications.

High-level data protection- Dell Data Protection | Encryption offers the highest level of FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standards) 140-2 Level 3 certification commercially available with the optional Dell exclusive Hardware Encryption Accelerator. For those people from the corporate world, they know exactly how data security is very important and now with this it will be harder for hackers to gain access.

USB 3.0- enables fast wired data transfers for local storage and sync, delivers 10 times faster speed than USB 2.0 and USB powershare to charge USB 3.0 devices when in sleep mode.

Enhanced Connectivity and Performance- Third Generation Intel Core processor options, as well as increased memory and discreet graphic options. This will give you more viewing pleasure and now you just have to say goodbye to those "hanging moments".

One of the best features I must say about their product is the fact that they will give you the power to troubleshoot on your own as the gadget has light signals to let you know what is wrong if ever you have troubles, with this you can save effort and time on calling representatives that are usually busy to accommodate and of course money for hiring a technician just to fix it.

Whether we are entrepreneurs or just simple people having such technologies for personal use, I believe Dell can provide you user-friendly and efficient gadgets.

I would like to extend my gratitude to Dominguez Marketing Communications, Inc. for inviting me in this event, more power!
