Jeremiah 29:11

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" -Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

It is beyond encouraging how God has presenting Himself to me for the past few weeks, giving me a lot of favor in career, family, friends and etc...

This is the first outfit-based blog post that I am publishing since I have a renewed faith for Jesus and therefore I would also like to incorporate it with the first bible verse that truly have struck me since the beginning of my walk with Him. It just became so timely too that I realized how many times in the past year where I have gotten so lost of direction in my life and now as I surrender everything to God, I can affirm the greater sense of direction I am treading with... which is with God.

When I trust on myself with the plans that I have, it yields so much insecurities but when I trusted God it yields security and love beyond compare.

In Him there is no fear, because He declares it Himself that the plans He has for us is to prosper us and not to harm us, giving us hope and a future.

Cathy Valencia: Advanced Skin Clinic

Recently, Cathy Valencia clinic opened at Bonifacio Global City, Taguig and had its store blessing together with the product preview of one of their top products, Eternal Youth.

The store is very well designed by Cathy Valencia herself, She even have the place hanged with some of her great artworks and paintings. The place is very exclusive which is good because privacy is out of the question as every procedure is by schedule.

I had the opportunity to have a conversation with Ms. Cathy Valencia and I asked her "what beauty is for a Cathy Valencia?"

She simply answered that beauty is more than skin deep, it's a lifestyle. Makes sense, beauty as we all know it is more objective... From the moment we wake up our thoughts should begin in the context of beauty since our thoughts turn to actions which by repetitively done becomes truly a lifestyle.

This is the actual bottle size of the products.

I have tried this Lightening cream for the past week, actually I have tried them all and this lightening cream has brighten up areas of my skin. Basically you use this during the night as a night cream.

With all the moisturizers I have used in the market this one stands out most because of how smooth it will leave your skin after you have applied it and it is easily absorbed by my skin, non-sticky too!
If I haven't mistaken the minimum SPF you should have on your skin is SPF 20 but with this product that promises SPF 50 shows how much it is dedicated to protect your skin.
Using all these products for quite sometime gained me compliments for the past days (no kidding) and I have seen my skin more glowing even though I am stressed and under-sleep due to work and other things in mind which all of us young professionals can really relate with everyday.

In focus of this blog post I am just reminded of PSALM 27:4
"One thing I asked from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple."

If you read close enough in this verse you can affirm that God really has put the beauty of Eternity in our hearts and as much as we seek for beauty in our lives we should seek more for the Eternity.

UNIQLO SPECIAL COLLABORATIONS

Last Thursday, October 1, 2015 I was invited to witness the exclusive preview of what the latest collection of UNIQLO is all about.

Hosted by one of the most talented women in the industry,
Ms. Bianca Valero

UNIQLO offers its special collection only in its large stores in Metro Manila – SM Megamall, SM North Edsa, SM Aura and SM Mall of Asia. These branches have the widest and most complete selection of apparels for women, men, kids and babies. The stores carry limited-edition pieces from international brands and designer collaborations such as DISNEY Magic for All, Ines De La Fressange, and UNIQLO’s most recent partnership with French fashion designer Christophe Lemaire.

UNIQLO and LEMAIRE

The UNIQLO and LEMAIRE collection represents products that embody the LifeWear concept – simple made better –  that is shared by both brands. Every item combines elegance with moderate relaxation and comfort, for modern and advanced wardrobe mainstays.

The much-anticipated collaboration showcases UNIQLO’s high quality materials at a perfect price. Sophisticated yet accessible, it offers a timeless color palette of greens, navies, whites, and reds. The men’s and women’s collections will be available in SM Megamall and SM Aura, two out of UNIQLO’s four large stores starting October 2 until the end of Fall Winter 2015.

UNIQLO and Ines De La Fressange Paris
In 2013, former fashion model and muse of designer Karl Lagerfeld, Ines De La Fressange re-launched her own brand, INES DE LA FRESSANGE PARIS, a luxury lifestyle brand that includes a wide range of products to create a truly Parisian style, from ready-to-wear apparel to interior decorations.

Forward to 2015, Ines combined her interest in UNIQLO’s LifeWear with her unique sense of style, based on refined feminine beauty and authentic quality. The UNIQLO and INES DE LA FRESSANGE 2015 Collection Fall and Winter Collaboration employs wool and other natural fabrics in a variety of styles and colors. Ines’ jackets for this season retain traditional tailoring, while offering the modern comforts that women want.

Now there is good news to those who have kids and who are also kids at heart.

Disney MAGIC FOR ALL Collection
The MAGIC FOR ALL 2015 Fall Winter collection offers a wide range of products from Ultra-Light Down, fleece, flannel shirts, and UTs, to plush toys, umbrellas, room slippers and more. The collection features Walt Disney’s beloved characters such as Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, as well as popular characters from Star Wars, Disney Pixar, Toy Story, Marvel’s Avengers and Frozen.

This is my friend Angel from When in Manila. Grabbing this opportunity to thank her for accompanying me that night. :)

Please do not forget that UNIQLO is on sale from October 2 - 8, 2015.

But beyond all our adoration for clothing and fashion let us be guided by what God says from 1 Peter 3:3-4 ESV:

"Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious."

I hope to meet all the hidden persons reading this blog someday and know so much of their hearts with imperishable beauty.

Thank you also to Pao Oga and Therese Iglesias of Eon Inc for inviting me to this event.

KEEP WALKING: JOY WILL TAKE YOU FURTHER

Last Friday, September 18, 2015 I was invited to witness the launch of the incredible new campaign of one of the leading whiskey brands here in the Philippines, Johnnie Walker.

The campaign is well supported by global rosters from different walks of life including:

Emil Areng

Eva Hakansson, fastest woman on three wheels.

Haas and Hahn, duo that sets awareness for poverty through art.

Jenson Button, Formula One World Champion and Mclaren Honda driver

Jim Beveridge

Jude Law, Award-winning Hollywood Actor

OK Go, American Rock Band.

Johnnie Walker centers the attention of the campaign upon the real life successes of people who credit the power of Joy with taking them further, as the new campaign says, JOY WILL TAKE YOU FURTHER.

Joining these global personalities are two of our very own locals who excel in their respective passions.

Romi Garduce

"Perseverance scaled one summit. My joy conquered all seven,"

The first Filipino to climb one of the Seven Summits, and the ONLY Filipino who has climbed all of them. He is also a scuba dive master, environmentalist, writer, and motivational speaker who continues his career as an IT professional while pursuing many different passions.

Saab Magalona

"The love for listening gave me the mic. My joy made the music."

A daughter of one of country's iconic personality, Francis Magalona. Host, actress, blogger, photographer, model and one of the lead vocalists of Cheat.

Jon Good, Diageo Philippines General Manager
He said, "As a brand Johnnie Walker has always stood for progress - it's been the story of our whiskey since our founder John Walker started it all nearly 200 years ago. What two centuries of experience have taught us is that progress doesn't have to be an endless uphill journey - we can enjoy the steps we take and the more happiness we find in them the more likely we are to achieve our goal. Evidence is confirming a conviction that sits at the heart of our brand: Joy will take you further."

I have a fair share of my source of Joy here just stalk me in my instagram, lol.

Dr. Matt Killingsworth, a US-based psychologist said, "People sometimes think of happiness as a far-off, distant prize only to be won by their years of hard work or when they achieve conventional markers of success, like a higher income or a bigger house. But there is a growing body of evidence that enjoying happiness along the way makes success more likely."

and beyond all the contribution of these people about Joy I'd like to end this blog post with this:

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds" -James 1:2

We Never Go Out Of Style

Two weeks ago I went to Cebu for a weekend but not for leisure but because we have to attend to a convention, of course I took the opportunity to dress up lol! Cebu doesn't have that cool breeze compared with Baguio or Tagaytay but I am wearing a cardigan (which my bestfriend Jay gave to me) because it is cold inside the convention room, I just felt like I needed to clear that out haha!

Being part of the working class means you need to study more because a lot of things are getting to be more detailed and going to conventions like this are necessary. Remember that education is a continuous process that you should not take for granted kids because knowledge and skills are great investments that cannot be stolen from you.

Though of course after the convention we get to explore a bit, sayang naman kasi if we don't right? So we just threaded through the City since there's really not much time and we got to do the Sky Adventure, went to Magellan's Cross and to the Bay which Magellan died. No regrets though because I'll be coming back there by mid March and can't wait to see more of Cebu!
