A week ago I was given the opportunity to do this activity of TOMS where people are encouraged to be in the shoes of those street children, in this case "no shoes at all".
I have always admired businesses that incorporate their objective of mere selling in giving a whole lot meaning to social awareness and charity.
Reunited and it feels so good!
With these two of the coolest bloggers:
Not really proud of my feet but hey, at least I get to have a glimpse of how our street children feel.
There were also free water-based tattoos that has empowering statements such as this one. Too bad there were no more left when I was about to get one for myself.
You may also write statements on your own...
... and have them displayed here!
The main event is that we have to go a bit around the mall to have more people be aware of the cause and the advocacy.
I am very impressed that a lot of people are very much willing to participate despite the heat of the ground and just the general summer heat that we get to experience.
No fret though, they have provided recyclable and mother earth friendly seats for us to sit on after the walk and to further enjoy the afternoon with some awesome music that their bands provided for us.
Tops to TOMS!
